After getting a new board at Palace Skateboard shop, I headed to the opposite side of town to skate the Freedom Skateboard Park. This is a non-profit managed skatepark. It's free to skate but they have hours of operation so you should check that they are open before heading out. The park is relatively new, and they are still adding to it. They recently added a micro-ramp. I spent less than an hour there as it was the middle of the day and very hot and humid. Luckily, it's right next to the water so there was an onshore breeze to help keep me cool. I'm not used to the heat yet! The coping is in nice condition and there are lots of transitions and street obstacles to hit. It has really good flow. The staff are super chill and helpful. Worth a stop!
